What to expect on Sunday Morning

We worship at 9:00am every Sunday. Greystanes Uniting is a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, so make yourself at home.

Here's a helpful list of what you can expect to experience when you visit on Sunday morning, where to park, getting around the church, following along in worship, and the all-important coffee and chat after the service.

Parking

We have limited parking at the church but there is ample parking on the street. There is a disabled access parking space in the main car park, closest to the church building.

Public Transport

The 806 bus from Parramatta and the 810 bus from Merrylands both pass the door.

Entrance

The best entrance to the church is through the double doors at the top of the car park. You will be greeted at the door and given a copy of the newsletter, and slips for any prayer requests you might like to ask for, the white form is for requests to be read out during the service, the green one is for confidential prayers. You are welcome to chose any available seat, there is a hearing loop available in the top section of the worship area. The bathrooms are in the child care centre, accessed either by going out the church and along the verandah and back into the child care centre main building, or through the door at the front of the worship space.

Worship Services

Worship happens in the main sanctuary.  Our services include readings from the Bible and a message from our minister or a guest preacher. We have Communion every first Sunday of the month as part of our All-Age Worship Services where the children stay in church for the whole service which includes activities for them. Everyone is welcome to receive Communion.

Everything you need to follow along with the worship services is either printed or projected on the large screens in the worship centre. All the parts of the service are clearly laid out and the preacher provides additional guidance and explanation throughout the service.

Sunday School

Your children are most welcome to go to Sunday School and you are welcome to stay with them. Sunday School is held in the Child Care Centre and our teachers will make sure you are well looked after.

Music

Our music group provide the music with a combination of occasional hymns and songs taken from contemporary Christian composers.

After the service

We'd love you to stay around after the Sunday Service, share great coffee and chat with us. If you're new to Church make yourself known to our welcomers (you would have seen them at the beginning of the service) and we would love to give you more information about our Church.
